“Perfect Pensacola get-a-way”

Testimonial 1

This two-bedroom town home is the perfect place to experience the stunning beauty of Pensacola Beach and all its attractions. The home is charmingly decorated with a nautical theme throughout. All the amenities you’d want are there and in fine condition, Internet, cable TV in each room, washer/dryer, A/C, de-humidifier, full kitchen etc. The home is clean and well maintained. Beds are very comfortable.

The living room and the master bedroom above it overlook the stunning Pensacola Bay. The view is breathtaking. As a fitness enthusiast, I loved practicing Yoga while staring out onto the water and shoreline. The back deck is the perfect place to hangout with food and drink and watch the beach.

The white sandy beach is only steps from the back door and it’s practically private. My brother and I even took the 2-man kayak out into the water and paddled around the bay. There is also a beautiful pool and tennis courts. One day I had a refreshing swim but did not use the tennis court.

As far as restaurants, Peg-leg-Pete’s is the most popular hangout. The fried cod nuggets are unbeatable. Be sure to ask for a side of ranch dressing for dipping. I am a fan of history, and most enjoyed a visit to Fort Pickens, literally only a few miles from the town home. Everything about our stay in this lovely home was wonderful, but the absolute best part is the genuine kindness of the owners and their kids. They welcome you like family and I can’t wait to return. Thanks Kennedy Family!!

After looking for different destinations in FLA and not finding any place available, I pulled up map and decided to check out Pensacola. I am so glad I did. I found this place, and it is perfect!

The condo is placed perfectly. You have the sound right in your back yard! Also, if you have children, the sound is pretty shallow and was about waist deep. You can go out to deeper water, but it is kind of far out unless you walk down the beach. You can see plenty of fish, starfish, crabs, and hermit crabs in the sound/on the beach, and to the left they have a place for snorkeling. It isn’t great snorkeling, but we saw some big fish and sea urchins there. Plus there are some beautiful birds that hang out at the shore. Also the water in the sound is so warm! Lovely view of the sunset. My husband and I took a sunset walk every night that was gorgeous. The beach is skinny but very long. We didn’t walk the whole thing, but I imagine it is at least a mile.

Out the front, cross a road (30 mph and very easy to cross as many cars will just stop for you) and head over to the beach on the Gulf side. This beach was awesome. Both had white sands, but the gulf beach was very big. It also wasn’t crowded. We saw lots of fish on this side and sea turtles!
The condo is great. You park right underneath it, and can fit probably 2 vehicles there comfortably. It is spacious and has everything you could need. The kitchen is equipped with hardware you need to cook anything! Also lots of outlets under the cabinets. The convection oven was great to cook with, though I didn’t use it much because of all the amazing restaurants (I will talk about them later, ha-ha). The living room is nice, and you can walk out from there onto the deck. The deck has stairs down to the backyard and beach. There is also a shower and foot rinsing place at the bottom of the steps which is very useful.

The bedrooms are upstairs (spiral staircase). Each bedroom has its own bathroom with a decent sized tub. The master has a beautiful view of the sound. Each room has a TV with cable.

Plenty of room in the bathrooms for your toiletries. The beds are comfortable and the sheets were so soft! The thermostat is upstairs too and the air conditioning cranks.

Susan, the owner, is awesome! She recommended restaurants to us, and sent me a link for a dolphin tour coupon. Our last night, the power went out, and she kept me informed about when it would be back on.

There is a trolley that runs right in front of the property. It is free and takes you to the shops and restaurants. The restaurants Susan recommended were great! Peg Leg Pete’s has the best shrimp and peanut butter pie. It is the closest restaurant. Also if you go to Flounders, get the tuna steak. Their margaritas are very strong!

There is a 2 person kayak, which we used. Also a couple bikes (we didn’t use them) and a closet that has life jackets and boogie boards which we did use.

All in all, we has an amazing trip. It was very relaxing, and everywhere you look, there is a beach, even at some of the restaurants! Shaggy has fishing poles for the kids at the table and a little fishing area. Plus a crazy delicious and VERY spicy shrimp dish.

I can’t wait to go back and stay here. We did not want to leave. See you next summer!! (And maybe next winter too!)

I ran out of room, but book this place!

Owner’s Response: “This is one of the most frequent responses we get when people stay at our end of the island. The location is convenient to all yet quiet and peaceful.”
